Diamond Science was originally founded by Jason Kabbes, an early cannabis legalization advocate and former mineral physicist turned cannapreneur. Jason perviously conducted nano-scale research experiments at The Ohio State University and the United States Department of Energy, tinkering with high pressure and high temperature crystal chemistry. In one of these experiments, Jason created a high pressure/high temperature closed vessel where he studied the different forms of carbon, carbonates, and other natural crystalline solids. During this endeavor, he became the first scientist to ever convert microscopic calcite crystals to nano diamonds using only heat, pressure, and oxygen (hence the name DIAMOND SCIENCE)! Jason later applied that physical and chemical theory to the extraction and isolation of cannabis compounds, leading him to be one of the first self-taught cannabis extraction artists in the state of Oregon. Jason and the team at Diamond Science continue to push the envelope of what is possible with cannabis extraction, constantly improving on terpene collection, nano-isolation, and unique applications of the THC molecule and full spectrum terpene batch extracts.
